Principal Consultant

PLCA's Principal Consultant is Jeremy Douglas-Stewart.

Before establishing PLCA, Jeremy worked in private practice at a major Adelaide law firm and was the firm’s primary privacy law advisor.  Jeremy is author of a privacy law loose-leaf reporting service (Comprehensive Guide to Privacy Law – Private Sector) used by law firms and companies around Australia, as well as a privacy-law compliance handbook for health service providers.  Jeremy was a member of the Federal Privacy Commissioner's Consultative Group during her review in 2004-05 of the private sector provisions of the Privacy Act and of the Australian Law Reform Commission's privacy principles roundtable in 2007.

Jeremy advises local, national and international organisations on all categories of privacy laws. Recipients of Jeremy’s advice include banks, credit unions, government agencies, hotels, health service providers, employer associations, careers service providers, security service providers, travel agencies, internet service providers, media organisations, clubs and cinemas.
