Privacy Law Consulting Australia is a specialist legal consultancy
advising organisations on compliance with privacy laws and best
practice standards in relation to personal data management practices. PLCA's Principal Consultant is Jeremy
Douglas-Stewart.
Having specialised in privacy laws since 2003, Jeremy is
recognised as a leading practitioner in the field. Jeremy has published extensively
on privacy and personal data management practices and is the author of a
national privacy law and practice looseleaf reporting service. Jeremy is a
regular presenter of privacy training workshops and seminars for
businesses and government agencies. Jeremy was a
member of the Privacy Commissioner's Consultative Group during her
review of the Privacy Act in 2004-2005 and of the Australian Law
Reform Commission's Privacy Principles Roundtable in 2007.
Before establishing PLCA, Jeremy worked in the commercial banking
and finance division of a major Adelaide law firm.
