The
Spam Act 2003 (Cth) regulates the sending of commercial
electronic messages and the supply and use of address-harvesting
software and address-harvested lists. The Act came into effect on
10 April 2004.
To
ensure that clients are spam compliant, PLCA can assist with:
-
audits
of commercial electronic messages;
-
identification
of messages that are subject to, or exempt from, the Act;
-
amending
template documents to include necessary information;
-
developing
policies and procedures for the sending of commercial
electronic messages; and
-
ensuring
that the acquisition and use of address-harvesting software
and harvested-address lists complies with the Act.
PLCA
